The House

Pariwana Hostel Cusco lies in a colonial house built in the 16th century. The beauty of our hostel can be compared to any 5-star hotel in the city of Cuzco, but with the atmosphere and vibe of our guests and the Pariwana experience.

The house has an internal patio surrounded by stone archways in both the first floor and in the balconies of the second floor. Our restaurant and bar-lounge are located in the same salons where Viceroys used to dine with the local nobility. It is said that there is a secret passage between the house and the closest convent. Supposedly, it was built by the last Viceroy, Abascal, as he new his days were counted. Without a doubt Pariwana Hostel Cuzco is the most stylish hostel in town!

Location

Pariwana Cuzco is located in the heart of Cuzco’s Historical District: only 2 blocks away from the main plaza (Plaza de Armas). The hostel is surrounded by the typical Cuzco architecture and scenery. It is nearby several restaurants, drugstores and transportation facilities. Pariwana Cuzco is conveniently located in front of Marquez’ boardwalk which connects the three main plazas: San Francisco, Regocijo and the Plaza de Armas (Cuzco’s main plaza).

We are not only the best located hostel in town, but our property has a beautiful colonial architecture that will make you feel the real Cuzco experience, either in our bar-lounge, in our restaurant or simply by hanging out in our internal patio. Within a 5-minute walk from Pariwana Hostel Cuzco you can reach:

  • The Plaza de Armas (Cuzco’s main plaza), where you will find the stunning Cathedral
  • The San Francisco and Regocijo Plaza
  • The Koricancha, an Inca Temple dedicated to worship the Sun, where Santo Domingo’s Convent was later built during the Spanish invasion creating a particular mix of Inca and Spanish architecture
  • San Blas District, famous for its great pubs, bars and restaurants!
  • The 12-angle stone, no explanation needed
  • San Pedro Market, the oldest market in town, where locals trade and barter since the Time of the
    Inca Empire

HOW TO GET HERE:

From the airport or bus terminals:
Take a taxi as they are quite cheap, we don’t recommend taking a bus. Tell your taxi driver you have a reservation in Pariwana Hostel Cuzco, right in Plaza San Francisco (Meson de la Estrella 136). Don’t let them fool you with alternative hostels. The taxi fare should not exceed S/. 15 (Aprox. US$6).

Transportation within the city
Cusco transportation is quite simple. Everything is near and most likely you would rather walk and enjoy the local view. If you prefer to avoid the walk you can also take a taxi. The cost between two destinations within the Cuzco’s Historical District should not exceed 5 Soles (2 dollars).
