Vista PreviaLima is a city famous for having a huge number of museums, huacas, and exquisite gastronomy.

In it, the district of Miraflores acts as the main one for its modernity. Barranco is another one known for its classical style with houses and churches from the XIX century.  If we go north of Lima, we find Caral which is the most ancient city of America. It is more than five million years old. The Peruvian cuisine is one who leads the top. Its typical dishes are: Lomo Saltado, Ají de gallina, Choros a la Chalaca, and the famous ceviche.  For more information about Peruvian foods you can access to the gastronomy section from our blog.

In Lima and its surroundings, we have many places that offer the practice of extreme sports: Hiking, rafting, mountain bike, etc. This is one of the reasons why backpackers like so much to come to Peru. In Ica, you can practice sand boarding or in Huaraz, where we have “Nevados” (snow covered mountains) you can try climbing. There are others who like to explore how people live in these areas too.

In general, this destiny has a bit of everything from sports, adventure, gastronomy, nature, religious festivities, beaches, museums, and archeology…. All the important ingredients to be satisfied from a vacation.

To do this path, you should take as a start point the city of Lima. This is if you get to the country by plane.  Here, you can stay at Pariwana Hostel. It has the best location, and you can benefit from the direct view that has to the main Miraflores Park. From here, you can take any of the buses to other destinies. You can go to Ica only five hours south or six hours north east in order to get to Huaraz, and enjoy an awesome landscape.
